Professional Bio
Originally a teacher, Laura is a lecturer and course developer at Curtin University where she co -developed and teaches units on Promoting Human Rights and Quality of Life, Building Capable Environments and Supporting Accessible Communication within the two new postgraduate courses – the Graduate Certificate: Positive Behaviour Support and the Graduate Certificate: Complex Communication Needs. Laura is also a community educator and disability advocate for Developmental Disability WA with special interests in both communication rights and children’s rights and the overlap between these.
