Hannah’s interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication was sparked by the journey she has shared with her 14-year-old daughter who cannot rely on speech alone to understand or be understood by others. Hannah is passionate about supporting communication access and literacy learning for her daughter, and for other people who use or need AAC. She has been a teacher for more than 20 years, working across multiple sectors, most recently with an emphasis on improving outcomes for students with disabilities in all school settings. She has completed two Master of Education degrees, and a Graduate Certificate in Complex Communication Needs through Edith Cowan University.
